Five coworkers working together in an office enviroment

The FutureWork Institute Inc is a global consulting firm that translates future trends and transforms organizations. Recognized as the Best Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Consultancy, FutureWork is a certified woman-owned business that operates within five continents, serving as an incubator of innovation and change in addressing current and future workplace and marketplace issues.

The FutureWork Institute Inc is on a mission to help its clients achieve a ‘MindShift,’ a ‘HeartShift,’ and a ‘SkillShift,’ by creating a more inclusive, future-focused culture and environment within the workplace and marketplace.

The combination of these three shifts focuses on several components such as scenario planning, employee focus groups, best practice benchmarks, virtual reality simulator, cultural competency training and manager tool kits, to name a few. These specialized areas are led by a consulting team that has worked in the area of diversity, leadership and career developments for over 25 years – leading successful achievements for major organizations worldwide.

At FutureWork, its core team of global network consultants model inclusion and new ways to work in business. Margaret Regan, president and CEO of the company, expands on this concept by stating, “we help out clients discover innovative ways to make their workscapes places where all talent can make extraordinary contributions to the enterprise. We are a firm that focuses on the future of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) by integrating talent management, leadership and diversity work; linking out clients’ DEI work to the business strategy.”

In essence, Futurwork’s business strategy is based on inventing new ways for clients to learn and collaborate. Thus, ensuring a changed approach to management and DEI that focuses on the ROI of its client’s work.

“Our business model enables maximum flexibility, cost efficiency and immediate client responsiveness. We combine the quality standards of our roots in Towers Perrin with the nimbleness of a small firm to give clients the expertise you need the value they deserve,” states Margaret. Operating on a foundation of respect, diversity and equity, its inclusion and global mindset have not changed since its launch in 2001.

Moreover, FutureWork runs a membership organization of DEI consultants called The Inclusion Allies Coalition. When the coalition was first established, the group had roughly 60 members, and now, with rapid recognition and a renowned reputation, it had grown to 750.

Margaret expands on this, describing the organization’s aims, stating, we are a coalition of organizations and practitioners commuted to diversity, equity and inclusion within our organizations and society. We provide resources, advocacy, networking and webinars for dialogues across differences to promote inclusion. In addition, we serve as allies for those who feel marginalized and advocates for inclusive policies and practices.”

For FutureWork, the goal is to become the leading voice of DEI practitioners globally. With Covid-19 affecting businesses destructively, the company has been quick to ensure the pandemic doesn’t alter its vision.

Fortunately, the business has been able to address the challenges to marginalize communities by creating webinars run by the Inclusion Allies Coalition, which has been done to educate members on the impact of the pandemic on Black, Hispanic, Latino, Asian, Indigenous communities and individuals with disabilities.

For the company’s future, the organization has moved into a new line of work, combining its future trends insights and DEI work. Margaret explains, “we are helping clients build their Metaverses and creating training sessions on how to avoid the hate speech, racism, sexism and other ‘isms’ as people interact in virtual reality.”

The company has built an entirely new business based on Mark Zuckerberg’s announcement concerning the Metaverse and its evolution as the ‘new internet,’ combined with Margaret Regan’s personal experience operating in the Metaverse for over 15 years. With its sister company CNDG/UniVirtual building Metaverses for its clients, FutureWork is off on another adventure, reimagining The FutureWork Institute.
