For a decade, Mr. Kelvin Huang, 55, led Delta’s telecom power business since 2010 to deliver substantial business growth by optimizing product development and busi- ness models to ultimately serve most of the world’s largest telecom carriers. In 2015, he led the acquisition of Norway-based Eltek AS and was appointed chairman of the board. Eltek AS, which serves more than 100 countries through its 40 global offices, has developed a reputation for delivering premium power solutions to the telecom, data center, power utilities, transporta- tion and marine sectors. In 2019, he was appointed to lead the Communication & In- formation Solutions Business Unit (CISBU), which consolidated three Delta business units into one that focuses on the telecom and data center sectors. Mr. M.S. Huang, who had led the region since 2001, will become senior corporate advisor. During his tenure as president, the Americas region became a key supplier to all major customers in the information and communications industry. The region also laid a very solid foundation for future growth in the data center, automotive, renewable energy, building automation and industrial automation businesses. Delta Americas has been working with the U.S. Department of Energy on different programs to acceler- ate the adoption of electric vehicles. Under Mr. M.S. Huang, Delta Americas launched the innovative Delta Breez ventilation fans, which dramatically reduce the noise level while saving considerable energy – to im- prove the quality of life for customers. Sheehan Genetics LLC, Specialty New Fruit Licensing’s North American branch, today announced its strategic invest- ment in opening a new state-of- the-art Sheehan Research and Development Innovation Center of Excellence in Fresno, CA. Projected to open in 2021, the facility will focus on driving re- search, innovating and develop- ing premium table grape varieties to complement SNFL’s existing European operations and will support the Company’s contin- ued global breeding and varietal expansion plans. The Innovation Center will enable Sheehan Genetics to acceler- ate its expansion efforts in key portfolio additions and enhance- ments. It will also better position the Company to leverage its ex- ceptional varietals to create val- ue-added offerings for California and the broader Americas region. The chosen location dates back to Sheehan Genetics’ Co-Found- er, Tim Sheehan, a table grape varietal development pioneer, and it will stand as a testament to SNFL’s commitment to his work and to the greater California table grape community. “Establishing this new innovation facility reinforces our commit- ment to investing in the advance- ment of new solutions for the table grape industry,” said Josep Estiarte, General Manager of SNFL Globally. “Our new facility will allow Sheehan Genetics and SNFL to continue to grow, diver- sify our portfolio and strengthen our position as a market leader.” The table grape industry, a multi- billion-dollar global sector, grows at a sustained pace annually propelled by the secular shift from commoditized, public varieties to proprietary, seedless varieties that better accommodate grower, retailer and consumer prefer- ences.
