Seedstars Summit LATAM to empower 35 growth stage startups from the region this November

Announced in July as one of the leading regional startup events of the season, the Seedstars Summit LATAM will gather Latin America’s top startups, investors, industry leaders, and innovative partners from over 20 countries, to foster change and sustainable growth in the region.

Seedstars, the leading emerging market startup community and investor, has joined forces with Ruta N, the regional innovation agency, and Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana (UPB) to bring the 4th Seedstars Summit LATAM to Colombia on November 27th to 29th. Wrapping up the 2019 Seedstars World Competition in Latin America, the Summit will showcase more than 30 of the  most promising startups from LATAM who will pitch in front of investors and industry experts.

By invitation-only, the event will gather over 350 key stakeholders from over 20 countries in a 3 day journey that will conclude with a main stage conference with the flagship topic: Fostering Digital Talent: Education, Acquisition & Leadership. 

Previous to the main event, the journey will begin with an intensive growth bootcamp at Ruta N, followed by the well known Investor Forum of Seedstars at the UPB sponsored by Amazon, that will exhibit startup pitches in front of prominent regional investors such as Monashees, Redwood Ventures, or Village Capital. Investors from Ewa Capital, and INQLAB will share their opinion on “What is the right obligation of good investors?”. Julio Gaitan from Softbank, will also share some valuable insights on how the rest of the world views in investment landscape in Latin America, along with Diego Tovar, CEO of Everis.

On November 29th, all experts will gather together at  the UPB for the morning program consisting of a Growth Marketing workshop powered by Hubspot, Investing in Colombian Tech supported by Procolombia, and a Roundtable discussion on the Best Practices & Learnings on Corporate Venturing. All of this will be followed by an afternoon mainstage program featuring keynotes from Sully Siucho, COO of RebajaTusCuentas.com, Orlando Reyes, Co-Founder at Wisy and Freddy Marimon, the 13-year-old surfer who has become the first Colombian paralympic extreme sports athlete. Peppered in between will be 1-minute pitches from the 16 entrepreneurs who will have the chance to continue to the Global Seedstars Summit to win $500K in investment, followed by a panel discussion with executives from Rappi, Slidebean and Laboratoria on “Building the digital talent pool for growth  in Latam.” To celebrate 3 days of collaboration and knowledge sharing, all guests will be invited to a celebratory cocktail.
