Some documents do not legally require notarization, so in order to save time and money be sure to ask this question first. If your document does require notarization, ask if there is a notary present who can provide this service. This is much more convenient than finding an independent notary. If a notary is not present, give Coast 2 Coast Signings a call and we will make arrangements with you to complete your notarization. Please make sure to have all necessary paperwork and identification with you at the time if your appointment to expedite your notarization. Who can become a notary? Generally speaking, each state has its own specific qualifications, but typically a notary applicant should be at least 18 years of age, be a legal resident of the state and not have a criminal record. Some states allow residents of neighboring states to become notaries in their state as well. Some states also may require that notary applicants be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
